AI models and providers
Claude is the default and the only model for a new firm. How owners can turn on GPT or Gemini, and what changes when they do.
- Who:
- Owners turn providers on or off; everyone picks a model per chat
- Where:
- Dashboard and workspace
- Updated:
Every new firm starts with Claude only, from Anthropic, processed in the United States. The owner can also turn on GPT (OpenAI) and Gemini (Google). None of the three providers trains its models on what your firm sends through our business accounts.
The models
| Provider | Models | Where it’s processed | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Claude Sonnet (recommended for most work), Claude Opus (best for hard work), Claude Haiku (fastest) | United States only | Always on |
| OpenAI | GPT, GPT mini | Not limited to the United States | Off |
| Gemini, Gemini Flash | Not limited to the United States | Off |
In a chat, pick the model from the menu at the top left. Only the models your firm has on appear there. All models share your firm’s AI budget; each is charged at its own per-token price, so Claude Haiku and GPT mini stretch it furthest and Claude Opus uses it fastest.
Turn GPT or Gemini on (owner)
- In the dashboard, go to Settings > AI providers.
- Tick GPT (OpenAI) or Gemini (Google).
- Read the notice. It names the company that will receive the prompts and documents your staff use with that model, what it keeps and for how long, and that its processing is not limited to the US.
- Tick the box confirming your firm may send client information to that provider, and select Save.
Changes reach the workspace within a minute and are recorded in your audit log. Turning a provider off removes its models; existing chats stay readable.
Only the owner can change this setting. Before turning on GPT or Gemini, consider whether your engagement letters or client instructions limit where client data may be processed.
What each provider keeps
Anthropic keeps API data for up to 30 days to detect abuse, then deletes it. OpenAI keeps abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days. Google logs Gemini API requests for a limited period to enforce its policies. The details are on our AI data use page.
