About

We build the AI workspace a careful firm can say yes to.

Zrico gives each US law firm its own private AI workspace, so the whole team can use AI on client work without client data going into a consumer chatbot.

Why law firms

A profession whose work is other people’s secrets.

Lawyers hold client information under duties of confidentiality. ABA Formal Opinion 512 asks lawyers to weigh the risk that client information entered into a generative AI tool could be disclosed. Accountants face the same question: the AICPA’s confidentiality rules ask accountants who share client information with an outside service to have a confidentiality agreement or the client’s consent. Neither is answered by a policy that says “don’t use AI”.

Meanwhile, people at small and mid-size firms already use AI for real client work, often on personal accounts under terms nobody at the firm agreed to. Large firms answer this with long, expensive rollouts. A small firm needs something it can set up in an afternoon and explain to a client.

That is the firm we build for: a separate workspace per firm, settings that start private, assistants written for legal work (and accounting ones too), and a record partners can review. Nothing more complicated than it needs to be.

How we work

The rules we hold ourselves to.

  • Private by default

A new firm starts with the most private settings: Claude only, processed in the US; web search off; chats deleted after 90 days of not being used. Owners can change each one, and each change is recorded.

  • We don’t read your work

Our admin tools cannot show chats, files or prompts, and there is no “sign in as”. Opening content needs your owner’s written approval, and every action our staff take on your account appears in your firm’s audit log.

  • We say what we don’t have

No SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA agreement today, and no claim of being “100% private”. The security page lists the controls we have and the ones we don’t, in plain words.

  • One published price

$39 per seat a month, 5-seat minimum, AI usage included. No setup fee, no annual contract, and you cancel from the dashboard.

  • A person answers

Every message to support@zrico.com is read by a person who knows the product. We aim to reply within one business day.

  • Changes in the open

New features go on the What’s new page with a date. Legal documents show the date they last changed, and the subprocessor list names every company that handles your data.

A note on why we built Zrico

Most firms have the same problem. People already use AI for real client work, on personal accounts, and partners have no way to see it or set rules for it. Banning it only pushes it out of sight.

We built Zrico so a firm can say yes on its own terms: a workspace that belongs to the firm, runs Claude by default, and leaves a record partners can review.
