Cite-check
Every case, statute, regulation and IRS citation in a document, checked against the source.
- Looks each citation up in CourtListener (case law), the eCFR (regulations), govinfo.gov (the U.S. Code) and irs.gov (IRS guidance).
- Marks each one Verified, Mismatch (a real authority, but the name, year or page differs) or Not found, with a link to the source.
- Only the citations themselves are sent to these public sources. Your document and the answer stay on our server, and the check itself uses no AI model.
A verified citation exists and matches the cited name and year. It is not a check that the authority supports the point it is cited for.
